The Aurora University Spartan softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader at the University of Chicago. The Spartans battled but fell 5-3 and 12-7.

GAME ONE - HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans took advantage of two Chicago errors and a double from
Sam Owens to lead 2-0 in the first.
- Two more Chicago errors in the second led to another AU run and the Spartans led 3-1.
- In the sixth, AU led 3-2 but Chicago produced five hits and scored three runs to take a 5-3 lead and eventual final score.
GAME TWO - HOT IT HAPPENED
- AU again jumped out early on Chicago, getting two singles and two walks in the first to score two runs and lead 2-0.
- Chicago tied the game at 2-2 in the second and then scored six times in the third off starter
Britni Wilson to take an 8-2 lead.
- Spartan
Elaine Walker hit a two-run homer in the fourth to cut the deficit to 8-4.
- In the fifth the Spartans cut into the lead again, scoring three runs on four hits but left the bases loaded trailing 8-7.
- Chicago scored four runs in the sixth to expand the lead to 12-7, the final score.
