- AU jumped out to a 2-0 lead on unassisted goals from Andrea Colford and Janne Brown.
- After a Beloit tally, the Spartans ran off five straight goals and led 7-1 with 8:35 left in the first-half.
- The Spartans later scored three times in the last 4:59 of action and took a 10-2 lead into halftime.
- With 19:47 on the second-half clock, Colford scored to give AU a 13-3 lead and the clock ran.
- The Spartans went on to win 16-5.
