The Aurora University baseball team rebounded with an important rivalry sweep in a NACC doubleheader with Benedictine University on Sunday afternoon, winning 10-4 and 6-1.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE 
- AU fell behind 1-0 early but a Cole Davis single in the second eventually saw him come around the bases and tie the game, 1-1.
- In the fourth, AJ Gill hit a two-run home run and the Spartans led 3-1.
- Spartan starter Chris Roycroft kept the Eagles off balance in his first start of the season.
- A lead off triple from Colin Rivard in the fifth provided AU with their fourth run and a 4-1 lead.
- BU scored in the fifth and seventh to cut the AU lead to 4-3.
- In the eighth, Bryce DeSpain doubled and scored one hitter later on a Gill single.
- BU scored a run in the bottom of the inning and heading to the ninth, AU led 5-4.
- The Spartan offense exploded in the ninth against the BU bullpen. AU scored five times on six hits which included three doubles.
- John Barnes threw the final 1-1/3 innings for his first save and giving Roycroft his second win of the year.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- The Spartans jumped on BU early in game two, scoring twice in the first and two more times in the second.
- Will King was dealing on the bump for AU and the Spartans pushed the lead to 6-0 in the seventh.
- King pushed his record to 4-0 on the year and just missed a second consecutive shutout with a run in the ninth.
