The Aurora University baseball team dropped the NACC doubleheader with Concordia University Chicago, losing 9-2 and 6-4.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONEÂ
- AU fell behind 3-0 in the second as three AU errors aided in the deficit.
- The Spartans loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning but came up empty with a pair of strikeouts ended the inning.
- CUC scored a run in the third and three more in the fourth to lead 7-0.
- In the bottom of the fourth, the Spartans took advantage of CUC miscues to score twice.
Bryce DeSpain started the rally with a double and later scored.
- CUC added one run in the eighth and ninth for the final score of 9-2.
- AU pitcher
Skyler Yamamoto threw five strong innings in relief efforts on the day. He struck out two while allowing just four hits.
SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- The game was scoreless heading to the third when CUC scored four times.
- The Spartans cut the lead in half in the fifth as singles by
Cale Sparks,
Bryan Larsen and
Jeff Mayes produced the runs.
- After a CUC run in the seventh, the Spartans made the contest a one run game in the bottom half. Three walks, a Mayes single and
AJ Gill run scoring fly out produced the runs.
- CUC added an insurance run in the eighth inning and led 6-4.
- AU got a base runner on in each the eighth and ninth but could not push across a run and fell by the final of 6-4.
