Spartan men tune-up with Phoenix Open

The Aurora University men's track team had their first indoor meet of 2019 by opening up at the Phoenix Invitational at University of Chicago. The Spartan men had an array of strong performances setting the bar for the season with senior thrower Ryan Njegovan once again throwing himself to the top of the NCAA rankings in the shot put.. The Spartan Men placed second overall in the meet with 72 points only behind University of Chicago.

Next action for the Spartan men's track and field team comes on Saturday, January 20 when they travel to Olivet Nazarene University for the NCAA vs. NAIA Challenge. Meet time is set for 10:00 a.m. in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
