The Aurora University men's soccer team remains unbeaten in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 3-1 win over the IIT Scarlet Hawks.
Justin Rutherford's two goals were the difference in the game, as AU's offensive pressure was too much for IIT.

- AU took the lead 1-0 when
Justin Rutherford slid a shot just out of reach of the IIT keeper in the eighth minute of the game. The goal was assisted by a pair of Spartans as
Julio Acosta and
Christian Duarte combined to set-up the score.
- The Spartans could not capitalize on plenty of opportunities in the first half, but held the lead 1-0 at halftime.
- IIT evened the score in the 53rd minute, tying the game 1-1.

Salvador Garcia gave the Spartans the 2-1 lead in the 68th minute, when his shot from the far corner was mishandled by the IIT keeper and the ball found it's way into the Scarlet Hawk net,

Justin Rutherford struck again in the 79th minute, placing an impressive shot into the right upper ninety.
- The Spartans would go on to win the game 3-1.
