The Aurora University men's soccer team remains unbeaten in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 3-1 win over the IIT Scarlet Hawks.  Justin Rutherford's two goals were the difference in the game, as AU's offensive pressure was too much for IIT.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU took the lead 1-0 when Justin Rutherford slid a shot just out of reach of the IIT keeper in the eighth minute of the game. The goal was assisted by a pair of Spartans as Julio Acosta and Christian Duarte combined to set-up the score.
- The Spartans could not capitalize on plenty of opportunities in the first half, but held the lead 1-0 at halftime. 
- IIT evened the score in the 53rd minute, tying the game 1-1.
- Salvador Garcia gave the Spartans the 2-1 lead in the 68th minute, when his shot from the far corner was mishandled by the IIT keeper and the ball found it's way into the Scarlet Hawk net, 
- Justin Rutherford struck again in the 79th minute, placing an impressive shot into the right upper ninety.
- The Spartans would go on to win the game 3-1.
