The Aurora University women's soccer team continue to impress, as they extended their winning streak to seven games last night in an 8-0 victory over the Rockford Regents. In the last seven games, the Spartans have scored 35 goals and not allowed a single goal. They beat the Rockford Regents 8-0 in the final home game of the women's soccer regular season, clinching a spot in the NACC women's soccer conference tournament.

- The Spartans controlled the game early, as they produced twenty-eight shots in the first half.
- In only the 5th minute of the game,
Alexis Abelove gathered a pass from
Jessica Mirsky and scored from the top of the box, giving the Spartans a 1-0 lead.
- Nine minutes later the Spartans would go up 2-0 when
Alexis Abelove scored again, beating the keeper and knocking it into the open goal. She was assisted by
Jessica Ortiz.
- In the 36th minute,
Jacklyn Cabrera scored her second goal of the season, tapping in a goal off a beautiful combination assist by
Mariah Dorsey and
Jasmine Ascencio, putting the Spartans up 3-0.
- The Spartans led 3-0 at halftime.
- AU added to their lead just after halftime, when
Maddison Moore scored on a through ball by
Emma Aguilar, giving the Spartans a 4-0 advantage.
- The lead extended to 5-0 when
Jessica Mirsky gathered a deflection off the keeper and buried into the back of the net in the 64th minute.

Carly Cast put the Spartans up 6-0 in the 69th minute, when she blasted a shot into the back of the net on a pass from
Jessica Mirsky.

Jacklyn Cabrera got her second goal of the evening when she hit the upper ninety on a pass from
Beth Grotelueschen. The Spartans led 7-0 with only three minutes left in the game.
- The final goal of the game came on a
Jasmin Salinas goal, as she tipped in a pass from
Natalia Martinez.

Julia Peters combined for yet another Spartan shutout.
