The Aurora University men's soccer team continued their winning ways on Saturday as they beat Marian University 3-1, with the victory the Spartans extend their win streak to 12 games. Leaves them tied with Dominican University, who they face this coming Wednesday. The win will determine the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference men's soccer regular season champions.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just 10 minutes into the game,
Eduardo Carrillo put the Spartans in front 1-0 when
Henry Zehnal found him on a through ball to split the Sabre defense and Carillo shot the ball past the Marian keeper.
- 16 minutes into the game, Carrillo would score again when
George Yanez crossed the ball and it was buried in the back of the Sabres' net, giving the Spartans the 2-0 lead.
- The Spartans would hold the 2-0 lead going into halftime.Â
- At the 66 minute mark, Marian cut the lead in half on finished cross at the top of the penalty area.

Christian Duarte answered right back just seconds later, putting the game out of reach when he scored an unassisted goal into the upper ninety, giving the Spartans the 3-1 lead.
- The Spartans would go on to win 3-1.
