The Aurora University women's volleyball team used 11 serving aces and strong hitting to defeat Marian University 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-13) on Friday evening in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

HOW IT HAPPENED -
- AU and Marian played a close opening eight points of the first set before AU pulled away with a 5-0 run behind two kills from
Sydnei Avery and an ace from
Danielle Lauer.
- The Spartans maintained a comfortable lead and won 25-21.
- A 7-0 early AU run in the second set, behind two aces from
Miranda Cada catapulted the Spartans to a 25-16 win.
- The third set played out similar to the second with Cada serving on a 9-0 run and this time she had four aces.
- AU went on to win handily, 25-13 and won the match 3-0.
