The Aurora University men's hockey team lost for the first time on the season, falling to the visiting Vikings of Lawrence University 2-0 on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first period was scoreless with the visitors out shooting the Spartans 13-8.
- Midway through the second period the scoreless drought ended with Lawrence scoring on the power play. A redirected shot from the point got past AU goalie
Josh Boyko.
- The score remained 1-0 into the third when AU went to a 5v3 power play with 6:30 to play.
- AU had chances but could not find a way to tie the game.
- With an extra skater with Boyko on the bench, AU saw Lawrence score an empty net goal with 21 seconds left in the game.
