The Aurora University men's hockey team got a pair late third period goals to rise above the Foresters at Lake Forest College 4-2 in a non-conference matchuup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans got the scoring started first late in the opening period as 
Larry Jungwirth scored with 45 seconds left. He was assisted by 
Brayden Sampson and 
Liam Stirtzinger.
- AU out shot the Foresters 11 to 6 in the first period.
- Midway through the second, 
Connor Chilton gave the Spartans a 2-0 lead. 
Lordanthony Grissom and 
Riley Doyon had assists.
- AU controlled the second period, out shooting LFC 17 to 6.
- The Spartans maintained a 2-0 lead well into the second period as the game approached under seven minutes to play.
- A shot from LFC with 13:31 to play deflected off an AU defender and past Spartan 
Josh Boyko.
- Just about a minute and a half later the Foresters took advantage of a bad hop off the boards to tie the game with 5:04 left in the game.
- With 3:21 to go the Spartans answered and regained the lead. Defenseman 
Brayden Sampson scored the game winning goal and was assisted by 
Connor Chilton and Athony Tzveyn.
- Lake Forest pulled their goalie for an extra skater and the Spartans took advantage. 
- 
Lordanthony Grissom intercepted a Forester pass and found 
Riley Doyon who fired a shot the length of the rink into the back of the net. The goal sealed a 4-2 AU victory.
