The Aurora University women's hockey team improved to 2-0 on the season with a three goal first period on their way to a 4-1 victory to sweep the two game series at Nichols College.

- The Spartans struck quickly in the contest when
Olivia Matson scored 39 seconds in on an assist from
Nicole McKernan.
- Nichols tied the contest 7:47 into the first period.
- As the first period began to win down the Spartans struck again.
- With 4:10 left,
Lauren Martel tallied what would hold up as the game winning goal on an assist from
Anna Zak.
- 2:14 later,
Nicole McKernan gave AU a two goal lead with assists to
Olivia Matson and
Marisa Trevino.
- AU led 3-1 going into the first intermission with the score remaining the same heading into the third.
- McKernan wrapped up the games scoring at 5:16 in the third for a 4-1 AU lead.
Marissa Dunbar had the helper on the goal.
