The Aurora University women's basketball team scored early and often in an easy 100-37 victory over Illinois Tech on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium. AU junior
Julie Galauner scored a game high 30 points and in doing so reached 1,000 points as a Spartan to become the 10th member of the Spartan 1,000 point club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans opened the game and led 23-1 before closing out the first quarter to lead 34-6.
- Galauner had 10 points in the opening quarter.
- AU continued to dominate in the second quarter, out-scoring IIT 27-8.
- Galauner finished the first-half with 27 points including 7-of-13 shooting from three point range.

Karissa King each had 10 points in the opening half.
- At 8:50 of the third quarter, Galauner hit a three from in front of the AU bench to give her 30 points in the game. The three also gave her 1,000 points on her career to become the 10th member of the women's 1,000 point club.
- The Spartans continued to run around the Hawks and led 79-25 after three quarters.
- In the fourth, the Spartans added to the lead and saw all 13 Spartans who played score points and grab at least one rebound.
- AU went on to win handily, 100-37.
