Spartans win and gain momentum heading into NACC Tourney

The Aurora University men's basketball team continued gaining momentum at the right time winning their last four regular season games heading into the NACC tournament as the 3 seed, defeating Concordia Chicago 99-88.

RECORDS: Aurora University 14-11 overall and 12-8 in the NACC; Concordia University Chicago 6-19 overall and 6-14 in the NACC

HOW IT HAPPENED
- For most of the 1st half the Spartans and Cougars traded leads and baskets.
- AU led by as much as nine with 6:00 minutes leading 39-30.
- The Cougars fought back but AU took a 54-50 lead into halftime.
- Aurora and the Cougars again started trading buckets immediately.
- The Cougars got within two points multiple times but Aurora help them off each time to extend their lead.
- Aurora went on a 10-0 run with five minutes left to extend their lead 91-78.
- Aurora went on to win 99-88.

SPARTAN TOP PERFORMERS
- Max Vickers led all scorers with 17 points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Jesse Young had 16 points and seven rebounds.
- Bailey Vance recorded a double double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
