In the Aurora University men's hockey team won game two of the Harris Cup quarterfinal with Lake Forest College 5-1 and forced a winner take all mini-game. In the mini-game, AU struck first with a
Drew Doyon goal but the Foresters tied the game late to force an overtime session. With just under six minutes played in the overtime, LFC scored to advance to the NCHA Harris Cup semi-final season.

- AU found themselves trailing after the first period with Lake Forest scoring late in the opening period.
- In the second the Spartans got a pair of unassisted goals from
Larry Jungwirth (3:25) and
Riley Doyon (11:53) to take their first lead of the series.
- Spartan special teams played a huge factor in the third period.
- A pair of power play goals and a short-handed tally gave AU a 5-1 lead.

Anthony Tzveyn got the scoring started with a power play goal at 6:58 with assists from
Jason Recchia and
Connor Chilton.
- Four minutes later at 10:58 the Spartans got a short handed goal from
Danny O'Donnell with
Drew Doyon adding a helper.
- Less than two minutes later the power play struck again with
Connor Chilton scoring and assists from Recchia and Tzveyn.
