The Aurora University men's volleyball team opened up Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 3-1 victory at Lakeland University on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans trailed for a good portion of the first set but rallied late to win 25-23.
- The second set was closely played with AU trailing 17-16 but from that point on, Lakeland out-scored AU to win 25-20.
- In the third set, with the score tied 11-11, AU went to work. going on a 14-2 run to win 25-13.
- In the fourth and final set, the Spartans again used a rally that started midway through the session and won 25-20.
