HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU took a 10-9 lead and ran away with the first set, winning 25-19.
- The Spartans trailed for a good portion of the second set but fought back to tie the score at 20-20 before falling 25-22.
- In the third set, AU was down 24-20 but stormed back to tie the score at 24-24 but IIT managed the final two points to win 26-24.
- The wind was out of the Spartan sails in the fourth set as they lost 25-15.
