The Aurora University softball team won a pair of eight-run mercy rule contests over Saint Joseph's Maine (11-1) and Simmons University (10-0) on Wednesday in central Florida.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE vs. Saint Joseph's Maine
- AU scored in each of their four at-bats in the game with four in the first, one in the second and three in the third and fourth.
- A three-run double from Mckenzie Flores was the big hit in the first inning to break the game wide open in favor of the Spartans.
- Elaine Walker had a three-run home run in the third.
- Nina Tholl had a two-run single in the fourth.
- Stephanie Renner allowed one hit, one run and scattered three hits for the win.
- Elaine Walker was four for four with a home run, three runs scored and three runs batted in.
- Nina Tholl was three for four with two runs batted in and one run scored.
- Mckenzie Flores was two for three with three runs batted in and one run scored.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO vs. Simmons University
- The Spartan offense remained hot going into game two with Aly Teixeira and Mckenzie Flores having run scoring singles in the first to put AU up 2-0.
- AU added two more runs in the third with a Sam Owens double and Josie Lytton sac fly driving in runs.
- As Hannah Tomasko held Simmons to two hits while striking out four, the Spartan offense pounded out 17 hits.
- The Spartans scored three runs in the fourth and fifth to push the game into the mercy rule.
- AU won 10-0.
- Aly Teixeira went four for four with two doubles and three runs batted in.
- Brianna Lewis was three for three with two runs scored.
- Sam Owens was two for two with a double, three runs batted in and one run scored.
