The Aurora University softball team won a pair of eight-run mercy rule contests over Saint Joseph's Maine (11-1) and Simmons University (10-0) on Wednesday in central Florida.

- AU scored in each of their four at-bats in the game with four in the first, one in the second and three in the third and fourth.
- A three-run double from
Mckenzie Flores was the big hit in the first inning to break the game wide open in favor of the Spartans.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO vs. Simmons University
- The Spartan offense remained hot going into game two with
Aly Teixeira and
Mckenzie Flores having run scoring singles in the first to put AU up 2-0.
- AU added two more runs in the third with a
Sam Owens double and
Josie Lytton sac fly driving in runs.
- As
Hannah Tomasko held Simmons to two hits while striking out four, the Spartan offense pounded out 17 hits.
- The Spartans scored three runs in the fourth and fifth to push the game into the mercy rule.
- AU won 10-0.
