The Aurora University women's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the 2019 season with a 10-9 victory over Hanover College in Indiana on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU fell behind 4-0 early in the contest.
- Three straight AU goals from Claire Carlson, Marina Kanner and Ellie Blake pulled the Spartans to down one at 4-3 with 16:50 left in the first-half.
- AU got goals from Janne Brown, Margaret Flanagan and Kristina Krokosz to head into halftime down 8-6.
- Over the first 18 minutes of the second-half, AU got goals from Carlson (2) and Krokosz to take a 9-8 lead.
- After Hanover scored to tie the game, Janne Brown scored her second of the game and the eventual game winner with 9:07 left in the game.
- Spartan goalie Reilly Armstrong made the one goal lead stand and AU was victorious 10-9.
