The Aurora University baseball team played wrapped up the spring trip in Tucson, Arizona with a closely played 6-4 loss to regional foe University of St. Thomas.

Davis Purviance led off the bottom of the first for AU with a triple and scored on a
Jett Wedekind single and AU led 1-0.
- AU pushed the lead to 2-0 in the second with a
Jeff Mayes leadoff double and he scored on a sac fly from
Austin Wiskow.
- St. Thomas scored one run in the third and fourth off starter
Chris Roycroft to tie the game.
- AU fell behind 3-2 in the fifth inning.
- The Spartans tied the game in the sixth with a leadoff double
AJ Gill and he scored when
Jeff Mayes reached on an error.
- In the eighth, St. Thomas pushed across three runs on relievers
Carter Turnquist and
Michael Fidler to lead the Spartans 6-3.
- AU got one back in the bottom of the inning behind back to back doubles from Fidler and Mayes.
- In the ninth,
Dylan White led off the inning with a double and when
Davis Purviance walked, the Spartans had the winning run at the plate with no outs. The St. Thomas closer though got three strikeouts to end the game and AU fell 6-4.
