Spartans tie school record for wins in 11-6 victory at Augsburg

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team defeated Augsburg University 11-6 on Friday afternoon in Minnesota and in doing so, tied a program record with their 11th win of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spartan Janne Brown got the scoring in the game started with an unassisted tally 37 seconds into the contest.
- Down 2-1, Kristina Krokosz scored on an assist from Margaret Flanagan to pull even with 20 minutes left in the first-half.
- Flanagan and Cara O'Connell scored exactly five minutes a part and gave AU a 4-3 lead which held up heading into half.
- AU pushed the lead to 6-3 with goals from Krokosz and Claire Carlson early in the second half.
- After the third goal of the day for Krokosz, Augsburg went on a run to pull to within one of AU at 7-6 with 12:30 left to play.
- AU though pushed ahead and scored the final four goals of the game, coming from Olivia Matson, Krokosz, Marina Kanner and Flanagan to win 11-6.
- The victory clinched another appearance in the MWLC tournament for the Spartans.
