The Aurora University baseball team swept a NACC doubleheader at Marian University, winning game one 5-2 and game two, 3-2.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning but answered with a run in the second. Jeff Mayes led off with a single and scored on a Michael Fidler single later in the inning.
- The game remained 1-1 until the eighth when AU scored three times.
- AJ Gill hit a two-out triple to score Austin Wiskow and Jett Wedekind. Paul Dobravec then singled to score Gill and AU led 4-1.
- Marian added a run in the bottom of the inning to push the score to 4-2.
- In the ninth, AU added an insurance tally with Colin Rivard leading off with a single and scoring on a Jett Wedekind single.
- Nicholas Mathey earned the save with two innings of work to seal the win for starter Chris Roycroft.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- Runs early was the news of game two as both teams scored in the first inning.
- The Spartans got started with a lead-off home run from Davis Purviance which gave starter Carter Turnquist a quick lead.
- Marian would score a pair in the bottom of the first to take the lead 2-1.
- AU answered in the second though with a lead-off double from Jeff Mayes and he scored on a Michael Fidler run scoring ground out.
- The pitchers then settled in and the score remained 2-2 until the seventh.
- In the seventh, Colin Rivard singled and stole second to start the inning. He scored one batter later on an Austin Wiskow double and the Spartans led 3-2.
- The AU bullpen of Seth Gutknecht, Michael Fidler and Nicholas Mathey made the lead hold firm over the final three innings and AU was victorious in a sweep, 3-2.
