Spartans set program record for wins in victory at Loras

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team finished up their regular season campaign with a 17-9 victory over Loras College. The win was the 12th of the season for the Spartans which is a new record for the young program.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU struck first with a goal scored by Olivia Matson 1:29 into the game.
- The two teams would go back and forth until AU scored five straight goals to go up 8-5 with 6:34 remaining in the first half.
- Chiara Pfosi, Claire Carlson, Kristina Krokosz and Marina Kanner all found the back of the net to give AU the momentum.
- The Spartan lead would shrink to just one goal after a pair of Duhawk goals. AU led 8-7 with 5:23 remaining in the first half.
- AU would take a 10-7 lead into halftime after responding with two more goals of their own. 
- The second half started with an early Loras goal but it was all Spartan blue from there. AU scored seven straight goals to go up 17-8 with Bridget Poidinger scoring the last goal.
- AU would go on to win 17-9 and will take the third seed into the MWLC playoffs.
