SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- Marian scored first with a run in the first inning.
- The Spartans answered with a two-out rally in the bottom of the inning.

- In the fourth, AU got singles from four of the first five batters to come to the plate.
Bryanna Perez and
Nina Tholl singled in runs and AU led 3-1.
- Four hits including two doubles from Marian in the fifth saw the visitors take a 4-3 lead.
- Marian scored an insurance run and AU would fall by a 5-3 score.
- The loss snapped an 11 game AU win streak.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- With the game scorless in the third, AU went to work with two outs. A bases clearing triple from
Mckenzie Flores was followed by an
Ashley Pittman single and the Spartans led 5-0.
- Starter
Hannah Tomasko was in control in the circle, keeping the Sabres off balance.
- With one out in the fifth, Flores tripled for the second time in the game which scored
Sam Owens. Pittman singled in Flores and AU led 7-0.
- A bunt base hit by
Brianna Lewis was followed up by a hit by pitch from pinch hitter
Bryanna Perez to load the bases. With the game ending run just 60 feet away,
Elaine Walker lined a base hit to right field that scored pinch runner
Sam Helton and a streaking Lewis and AU won 9-0.

Thursday, May 2 when they host the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. AU, the No. 3 seed, will host the No. 6 seed from Wisconsin Lutheran College in game one of the day. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m. at Bedrosian Stadium in Montgomery, Illinois.
