- AU jumped out to a 3-0 lead with goals from
Marina Kanner,
Emma-Lee Martel and
Claire Carlson.
- After a BU goal, the Spartans added two more tallies with that trend happening twice.
- Midway through the first, AU led 7-2.
- BU cut the AU lead down to 7-4 but the Spartans scored the final four goals of the first-half and led 11-4 going to halftime.
- Kanner scored three of the final four goals of the half and finished the opening session with four.
- AU out scored Benedictine 7-2 in the second half.
