The Aurora University baseball team play sound all around baseball as they swept a NACC doubleheader with Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday afternoon. AU won game one 4-3 and game two 3-2.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- The Spartans grabbed a lead in the bottom of the first as
Davis Purviance reached on a lead off walk and went to third on a
Jett Wedekind single. With one out,
Paul Dobravec drove in Purviance with a sac fly.
- MSOE took a 2-1 lead in the next half inning with a solo home run, a double and a single.
- AU answered right back in the bottom of the second.
Jeff Mayes continued his hot hitting with a lead-off single. He would score later in the inning on a Colind Rivard single.
- In the fifth, the Spartans would score the eventual game winning run. A lead off single from Wedekind was followed by a two base error by the Raider pitcher. After
AJ Gill walked, Dobravec hit a ground rule double to left center, scoring Wedekind.

- MSOE scored one run off
Will King in the sixth with King getting a strikeout and pop out with the bases loaded to preserve the AU lead at 4-3.
- Spartan reliever Nick Mathey came on to throw the final three innings, allowing one base runner and striking out six for the save.
- AU was victorious 4-3.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- AU took a 1-0 lead in the third with their first hit coming on a lead off double from
Colin Rivard. One out later and on third, Rivard scored on a base hit bunt from
Davis Purviance.
- In the fourth, the Spartans plated two more runs. Dobravec and Mayes reached, following a balk,
Dylan White singled to score both and AU led 3-0.
- MSOE scored twice in the fifth, with four singles plating the runs.
- The Spartans looked primed to blow the game open in the bottom of the fifth, loading the bases with one out and MSOE went to their bullpen. But AU left the bases loaded without a run scoring.
- Over the final four innings, pitchers from both sides settled in with base runners reaching but never more than two.
- In the final couple innings, the Spartan defense stepped to the forefront with several spectacular plays, a couple from senior shortstop
Jeff Mayes and a diving catch from second baseman
Austin Wiskow.
