HOW IT HAPPENED -
- AU hit .400 in the opening set, leading throughout before winning 25-10.
- The Spartans finished the set on an 18-4 run with
Imani Freeman and
Sydnei Avery each having five kills in the opening set.
- The Spartans hit well again in the second set, winning comfortably 25-14. Freeman and
Karli Chambers each had four kills in the set.
- AU led throughout in the third set, leaving little doubt they would win the match in three.
- As AU ran away with a 25-15 win, Chambers had seven kills in the final set and Avery had six.
