The Aurora University men's soccer team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but three unanswered goals did in the Spartans, including yet another penalty kick opportunity for an AU foe. The Spartans went on to lose on the road at Illinois Wesleyan, 3-1.

- In the 11th minute, Henry Zehnal found Matt Napolitano who buried the ball into the back of the net and AU led 1-0.
- With just over 8 minutes to play in the first half, an AU foul led to an IWU penalty kick. The shot was converted and the game was tied 1-1.
- Just over 8 minutes into the second half, the home team scored to take a 2-1 lead.
- With AU pressing to find the equalizer, IWU added an insurance tally with 1:15 left in the game for the eventual final score of 3-1.
