The Aurora University women's basketball team had a slow start to the second quarter but stormed back in the second-half against Edgewood College on Thursday night before falling 76-70.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans battled foul trouble in the first quarter but still only trailed 19-17.
- The second quarter opened up with AU being out-scored 16-4 and trailed 35-21 with 4:52 left in the first-half.
- In the final four minutes though the Spartans picked up the defensive intensity and managed to get the deficit into single digits.
- AU trailed 39-32 going to halftime.

- The third quarter saw several mini runs from both the Spartans and the Eagles but the score after three remained a seven point difference at 59-52.
- Trailing by 10 (67-57) with six minutes left in the fourth, the Spartans made their comeback. Â

Sydni Olson pulled AU to down two at 67-65 and forced an Edgewood timeout with 4:47 left.
- Fellow freshman
Karissa King drained a three a minute later to get the Spartans to within one at 69-68.
- On the next possession, Galauner just missed a three to tie the game and then committed a foul.
- Edgewood managed to knock down free throws in the final 1:54 as the Spartans committed turnovers on back to back possessions.
- AU fell by a final score of 76-70.
