The Aurora University men's basketball team took to the road to Marian University on Tuesday night and used a large second-half rally to storm past the Sabres and win 74-69.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans and Sabres traded leads nine times over the first almost 10 minutes of action and the score remained tied at 16-16.
- Behind five three's in the final 10 minutes, Marian would lead AU 43-30 at halftime.
- AU opened up the second-half and began the comeback efforts.
- Spartan
Will Hrubes led the way with 16 second half points of his game-high 18 points.
- After two Hrubes free throws with 9:05 left in the game, AU pulled within two at 52-50 and ending a 15-4 AU run.
- The Spartans stayed within arms length of the Sabres and regained a lead after two free throws from
Rashad Johnson with 2:54 to go.
- Two possessions later,
Jarek Hotwagner hit a three and gave the Spartans a 67-65 lead.
- The Hotwagner three started a 10-2 AU run to end the game, prior to a Marian basket just before the buzzer.
- AU won the road NACC contest 74-69.
