The Aurora University women's basketball team played another classic against rival Benedictine University, falling in a thrilling contest 60-57 in Lisle, Illinois.

- The Spartans jumped out to an 8-1 lead 3:50 into the game.

Julie Galauner with two minutes left in the first gave AU a 13-7 lead, which would be the score at the end of the quarter.
- AU led by as many as 10 but a BU run midway through the second saw the game tied before an
Emma Ruff free throw gave AU a 28-27 halftime lead.
- With the game tied 38-38 with 6 minutes left in the third, AU made a run.
- An 8-0 run with back to back threes from Galauner and
Karissa King gave AU a 46-38 lead.
- The Spartans would take a 48-43 lead into the fourth.
- AU went four of six in free throws to start the fourth and with 6:42 to play, the Spartans led 52-43.
- The Spartans though went zero for their next five from the field with two turnovers as BU worked to tie the game.

Julie Galauner bucket and a free throw from
Allie Reichert gave the Spartans a 55-53 lead with 2:40 to go.
- BU was able to rally and took a 58-55 lead before two free throws from King brought AU within on at 58-57.
- A pair of Eagle free throws in the final seconds pushed the final score to 60-57.
