The Aurora University women's basketball team made a strong fourth quarter come back but fell short as they ran up against a hot shooting opponent Thursday night on Lancaster Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans came out firing and led 9-5 three minutes into the game.
- Dominican started knocking down three's but the Spartans hung tough, trailing 25-21 after one.
- AU was out scored 21-13 in the second quarter due in large part to a 9-of-11 start for Dominican from three-point range.
- At the half, AU trailed 46-34.
- The Spartans opened the third quarter on a quick 4-0 run.
- Late in the third, AU was out-scored 12-3 and would trail after the period, 71-51.
- Several AU runs, one a 10-1 and 5-0 allowed the Spartans to get within 10 (80-70) with 2:21 left in the game.
- But back to back turnovers after a missed shot allowed the visitors to expand their lead.
- AU would fall by a final score of 89-75.
