The Aurora University women's hockey team opened their weekend in Duluth, Minnesota with a 2-0 shutout win over the Saints. Two second period goals and stellar defense propelled the the Spartans to their sixth straight win.

- The Spartan penalty kill stood strong in the first period by killing off both Saints power plays.
- The game remained scoreless going into the first intermission.

Lexie Martinez opened the scoring for AU with a goal at 13:05 in the second period.
- The Spartans would waste no time in adding to their lead when
Marisa Trevino scored 48 seconds later.
- AU took their 2-0 lead into the second intermission.Â
- The Spartan penalty kill remained strong all night. The unit killed off four total penalties including two in the third period.
- AU won the contest 2-0 behind a strong showing from their defense and net minder
Chiara Pfosi who recorded 25 saves.
