The Aurora University women's basketball team fell in the opening round of the 2019-2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament on Wednesday night at Wisconsin Lutheran College 65-54.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter saw AU trail 21-5 before AU closed out the quarter on an 8-0 run.
- Sydni Olson and Meija Rabi each had five first quarter points.
- AU continued their run to start the second and pulled within three at 21-18.
- The Spartans would trail heading to halftime 37-30.
- Back to back baskets by Karissa King and Tyann LeGrand got AU back to down five in the third at 39-34.
- AU trailed heading to the fourth, 51-42.
- A three from Julie Galauner and lay-up from Sydni Olson to start the fourth got the Spartans back to down four at 51-47.
- The AU women continued to battle but came up just short as they were unable to catch the Warriors.
- The Spartans would fall by a final score of 65-54.
