The Aurora University women's hockey team celebrated four seniors prior to taking on Marian University in a key Northern Collegiate Hockey Association contest on Friday night. AU got a game winning goal from Macey Horbach and went on to win 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Prior to the opening draw, AU recognized seniors Lauren Martel, Brenna Hannon, Olivia Monzel and Layuren Zielecki. 
- The Spartans got the games scoring started late in the first period.
- Kate Powell scored with 1:23 left in the first with an assist to Marissa Dunbar.
- The Spartans had 20 first period shots on goal.
- Midway through the second Marian scored to tie the game.
- 1:07 after the Spartans got a goal from Macey Horbach to regain the lead. Olivia Monzel had the assist.
- The Spartans maintained their 2-1 lead until late in the third.
- With 1:49 left to play, Dunbar added a goal on an assist from Sadie Parton to seal with win.
- AU goalie Chiara Pfosi made 30 saves on 31 shots sent her direction while the Spartans put 52 shots on the Sabre net.
