AU men's lax splits games in Colorado

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado for a pair of games during spring break 2020. AU split the day, dropping the opener 17-5 to Colorado College then defeating Johnson and Wales University 29-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Colorado College
- AU fell behind 6-0 over the first 9:30 of the first quarter.
- With a man-up, AU scored with just over four minutes to go when Jameson Morrison scored on a Kellen Moczynski assist.
- The Spartans trailed 9-1 after one quarter.
- The Spartan defense settled in during the second, allowing just two goals.
- AU went to halftime down 11-1.
- Midway through the third the Spartans scored another man-up goal. This one from Josh Boyko with a Jameson Morrison assist.
- Late in the third and early in the fourth the Spartans scored three straight goals from Zach Bernstein and Boyko.
- AU would fall by a final score of 17-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Johnson and Wales University
- AU came out and scored 10 times in the first quarter to lead 10-0.
- Spartan goal scorers were led by two each from Josh Boyko, Braden Toll and Ryan Griffin.
- Griffin scored the final two goals of the period with the last coming with one second to go.
- AU out-scored JWU 4-1 in the second with two coming from Mikail Byun.
- Heading to halftime, AU led 14-1.
- The second-half was all Spartans as they out-scored JWU 11-0 in the third and 4-0 in the fourth.
- 14 different Spartans scored a goal with 17 scoring a point.
