- AU controlled the offense early on in the game, forcing the Warrior keeper to make several saves.
- At 23:04 of the first-half, a foul in the box resulted in a PK for WLC which was converted.
- AU trailed 1-0 going to halftime.
- The second-half saw both teams having scoring chances with the keepers including AU's
Kelsey Deck keeping the balls out of the net.
- In the 81st minute, the Spartans got the equalizer from
Megan Newton with an assist from
Mikayla Spiering.
- The score was 1-1 as the game headed to overtime.
- Neither team would get the game winning goal as the score finished 1-1
