The Aurora University men's soccer team celebrated the senior class of 2021-2022 prior to kickoff of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match-up with the Sabres of Marian University. The Spartans fought for the entire 90 minutes, but ultimately lost to the Sabres with a score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sabres struck first with a goal in the 24th minute, giving Marian a 1-0 lead.
- AU out-shot Marian 10-7 in the first-half, but were unable to find the back of the Sabres net.
- Spartans trailed 1-0 going into halftime.
-  In the 53^rd minute, Marian scored, extending their lead 2-0.
- As minutes fell off the clock in the second half, the Spartans struggled offensively, not able to capitalize on any scoring opportunities
- Spartan Nick Willner got AU on the board in the 71^st minute of the game, he was assisted by Enrique Gonzalez.
- The Spartans would go on to lose 3-1
