The Aurora University women's soccer team celebrated the senior class of 2021- 2022 prior to kickoff of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match-up with the Sabres of Marian University. AU led early and often but late Marian goals would send the game into overtime and the Spartans fell by a 4-3 final score.

Aidyn Hesuse put the Spartans up 1-0, as she collected a pass from senior
Emma Aguilar and snuck a shot past the Sabres goalkeeper.
- After controlling the ball for most of the half and taking multiple shots on goal the Spartans were unable to add to their lead but the momentum into the half leading Marian 1-0.
- Marian struck first in the second half scoring in the 65
th minute.
- 35 seconds later,
Aidyn Hesuse scored again off a corner from
Jessica Mirsky and deflection off the goalkeeper, extending the Spartan lead 2-1.
- In the 68
th minute, Marian struck again to tie the game 2-2.

- In the final minutes of the second half, Marian scored sending the game into overtime.
