The Aurora University football team make their first trip to St. Norbert College as members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Saturday, October 23. Kickoff with the Green Knights for SNC homecoming has been set for a 3:00 p.m. in DePere, Wisconsin.

Spartan Record Setter - 
- With 5:27 left in the third quarter of the Spartans 49-7 win last week against Eureka, Tyran Bailey made his 17th carry of the game. The 19 yard scamper found him in the end zone for the second time on the night and also gave him 3,703 yards for his career. That carry and yardage helped him become the all-time leading rusher in AU football history, surpassing Ron Griffin who had 3,691 from 1987-1990.

  • Saturday will be the third meeting all-time between the newly minted conference foes.
  • In the two previous meetings, the home team has been the victor.
  • The Spartans won the last meeting in 2019, 50-40.

- Running back Tyran Bailey is averaging 9.0 yards per carry, 130.0 yards per game and has 11 rushing touchdowns.
- Receiver Cameron Moore has caught 16 passes for 532 yards and nine touchdowns.
- Tight End Colton Jewell has caught 20 passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns.
- Colin Dominski and Ernesto Ramirez lead the AU defense with 31 tackles.
- Sean Reyna has five interceptions with 25 tackles and a defensive touchdown.

Spartans in the National Statistical Rankings: 
AU is led by a high powered offense that ranks seventh in total offense (526.8 yards per game), 19th in first downs offense (150), sixth among Division III programs in scoring offense (49.83 points per game), 13th in rushing offense (253.3 per game), 14th in passing yards per completion (16.25), 11th in punt returns (18.92), ninth in kick return defense (12.32) and 18th in team passing efficiency (173.45). 

Individually, the Spartans are led several individuals who rank among the top 20 in many categories.

Quarterback Gavin Zimbelman is third nationally in passing touchdowns (23), fifth in points responsible for (150), fifth in points responsible for per game (25.0), 12th in passing yards per completion (16.25), 16th in passing efficiency (175.4) and 19th in yards per pass attempt (9.32).

Running back Tyran Bailey is ranked nationally, first in rush yards per carry (8.97), eighth in rushing touchdowns (11), 10th in yards rushing per game (130.0), 10th in total rushing yards (780), 14th in total touchdowns (11), points scored (66) and scoring per game (11.3).

Wide receiver Cameron Moore is first in yards per reception (33.25) and seventh in receiving touchdowns (nine)

Defensively, defensive back Sean Reyna is ranked fifth nationally with his five interceptions and eighth with 1.8 pass deflections per game.

Specialist, punt returner James Mautino is fifth in punt returns with 18.9.

About the St. Norbert College Green Knights –

  • SNC is 2-4 on the season and 1-3 in the NACC
  • The Green Knights are averaging 26.5 points per game.
  • The SNC defense is allowing 25.5 points per game.

  • Quarterback Ben Kohl has thrown for 744 yards on 85-of-159 passing with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
  • Receiver David Lox leads the group with 22 catches for 161 yards and two scores.
  • Kohl is also the top rusher with 71 carries for 309 yards and three touchdowns. 
  • Maccabee Barrett leads the defense with 54 tackles.
  • Kendall Karcz has five interceptions on the season with two touchdown returns.
