The Aurora University Spartan football team won 25-7 on the road at St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon, spoiling the Green Knights homecoming behind timely offense early and another strong defensive effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans and Green Knights traded two possessions each to start the game with the AU defense flying around and allowing minus nine yards in the two possessions they were on the field.
- The offense got going on the third possession, taking seven plays and 48 yards to score.

Brock Harner from 18-yards out to lead 7-0.
- Special teams came up big for the Spartans to set up the next offensive drive.

Brett Crissie found his way through and blocked a punt to set up the offense at the 10 yard line.

Tyran Bailey runs later, AU led 13-0 after a missed point after try.
- The AU defense continued to assert themselves in the first quarter, allowing minus 18 yards of total offense for St. Norbert.
- AU led 13-0 after one quarter.
- After an interception halted one drive, the second AU drive in the second quarter resulted in points.
- A seven play, 55 yard drive finished with a 13 yard touchdown from Zimbelman to
Colton Jewell. A two-point try was no good and AU led 19-0.

Matt Piasecki intercepted the first pass of the next SNC drive to set up the offense at the SNC 17.
- Jhequay Chretin took the first play to pay dirt and AU led 25-0.
- AU led 25-0 going to halftime with the defense allowing just 41 yards in the first half.
- In the third quarter, AU got a fumble recovery from
Christian Bower and interception from
Sean Reyna to keep the score 25-0.
- SNC scored late in the third to cut the AU lead to 25-7.
- AU ran out the clock in the fourth quarter with Chretin surpassing 100 yards on the day.
- The Spartans were victorious 25-7.
