The Aurora University men's hockey team opened up the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association schedule with a 4-1 victory at Finlandia University.

- AU fell behind 1-0 early in the first period when they allowed their first power play goal against of the season.
- The Spartans answered with the game tying goal less than two minutes later.
- Riley Doyon scored the tying goal with assists from Brayden Sampson and Adam Keyes.
- The teams went to intermission tied 1-1.
- Midway through the second period, Roberts Baranovskis scored the eventual game winning goal.
- His goal came with helpers from Jack Jaunich and Andrew Lane.
- 1:20 later, AU added to the lead with a Simon Boyko tally. Matt Weber and Sampson had assists.
