Spartans season wraps up in NCAA Regional

For the fourth consecutive season the Aurora University women's volleyball team played in the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament with the Spartans taking on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa on Friday afternoon. AU dropped the match 3-1 to end another successful volleyball season.

How it happened
- AU took a 6-5 lead in the opening set on a kill from Kate Poellmann.
- The Spartans expanded their lead to seven at 17-10 on a kill from Kaitlyn Beebe.
- After CMS scored five points, Poellmann knocked down a kill to end the run.
- Sydnei Avery put the opening set in the AU victory column with the final point and set win 25-20.
- Poellmann led six Spartans to pick up a kill with five.
- The second set did not go well for the Spartans who trailed early and fell 25-14.
- The third set saw a big CMS run midway through and AU fell 25-15.
- Stasia Brown had four kills in the third set to lead the Spartans
- An early deficit was to much for AU to overcome in the fourth set as they lost 25-15.
- AU fell 3-1 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
