- A cold snap hit the Spartans though as they went one for their next nine and trailed 18-8 halfway through the first-half.
- AU shot 29% from the field in the first-half and went 0-10 from three-point range to trail 33-18 at halftime.
- The halftime intermission wasn't enough to warm up the Spartans as they would lose at North Central 76-44.
