Aurora University women's hockey forward
Peyton Elliott was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Offensive Player of the Week following AU's weekend sweep of Bethel University on the road.
Elliott earned NCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time of her career after a thrilling weekend in which she played a key role in the Spartans improving to 4-0 on the season. She scored her first collegiate goal in Friday's 5-1 decision and ended up with four total in the series. She netted two in each game of the weekend sweep of Bethel, recording the game-winning goal each night while also adding two power play tallies. She topped it off by lighting the lamp for the winner in overtime Saturday just 53 seconds in to give her team the 4-3 victory.
Next action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Saturday, November 13 when they host Finlandia University. Puck drop is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois.
