Aurora University men's basketball team sophomore Nolan Boffman had a career night with 26 points but the Spartans fell to Lakeland in overtime 94-92.

- The Spartans shot the ball very well on the day, finishing with 50% on the game.
- Despite never leading in the first-half, the Spartans remained within striking distance of the lead.
- A layup from Shamar Pumphrey with 7:56 on the clock had AU down by one 26-25.
- A 17-6 Lakeland run over the next seven minutes though found AU down by 12.
- AU went into halftime trailing 43-34 after a Nolan Boffman three point play ended the half.
- The Spartans started the second half on a 7-0 run with five from Brooks Schoon to get within two at 43-41.
- AU had the game on several occasions of a basket tying or giving the Spartans the lead but it wasn't until 2:46 to go in the second when the game was tied for the first time since 0-0.
- The Spartans first lead then came almost two minutes later when Boffman converted two free throws and AU led 81-80 with 51 seconds on the clock.
- Lakeland tied the game with a free throw and the contest headed to overtime tied 81-81.
- AU took a quick three point lead on a Schoon three in overtime.
- Three missed shots and a turnover from AU allowed Lakeland to take the lead at 92-88.
- Baskets from JT Daniels and Boffman got AU within two in the final 30 seonds but the Spartans couldn't overcome the Muskies and fell 94-92.
