The Aurora University men's basketball team had a double-digit first-half lead but were unable to hang on as they fell to St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon.

- The Spartans came out quickly and led 9-2 after a
Shamar Pumphrey layup with 16:06 to play.
- AU built the lead to 12 on several occasions in the first-half.Â
- With 7:03 left in the first, AU led 24-12 following a
Brooks Schoon layup.
- A cold streak fell upon the Spartans though as SNC used a 22-4 run over the next six minutes.
- The Spartans trailed going to halftime, 34-30.
- A three from Pumphrey early in the second-half put AU down two at 35-33.
- But another SNC run struck the Spartans and with 13 minutes left, AU trailed 56-38.
- The Spartans weren't done though as they responded with a 10-2 run and were down 10 (58-48) after two
Julian Gatewood free throws.
- The runs continued with SNC going on a 14-4 run to lead 72-52 with 5:58 to play.
- AU fell to SNC 83-63.
