Aurora University women's hockey student-athletes, Darci Matson and Chiara Pfosi were named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week following AU's weekend series sweep of Lawrence University.

Matson, a freshman, earned the NCHA Women's Offensive Player of the Week and is the second Spartan to be named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week this season after putting together an impressive offensive performance in a sweep of Lawrence University. Matson finished the two outings against the Vikings with an eight-point weekend, recording five goals and three assists as Aurora improved to 8-2. She had four goals and an assist in the 13-1 opening night decision and then added a goal and two assists in the 6-0 game two victory. On the season she now has nine goals and seven assists, good for third in the NCHA with 16 points.

Pfosi, a senior, becomes the first student-athlete to earn NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season after a near-flawless pair of outings over the weekend. Pfosi went 2-0 in a sweep at Lawrence, which included a game two 6-0 blanking of the Vikings, her third shutout of the winter. In just under 100 minutes in net on the weekend, she made 23 saves in the 24 shots sent her way - a .958 save percentage - while also posting a 0.60 goals-against average as Aurora improved to 8-2 overall on the campaign
