The Aurora University men's hockey team dropped a 6-5 overtime contest at Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday evening on the road. The Spartans two losses have both come in the newly created 3-on-3 overtime period.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed 1-0 after the first period of action
- Early in the second, the Spartans found themselves down 3-0 with all three CUW goals coming on the power play.
- When AU found themselves on the power play,
Brayden Sampson lit the lamp 31 seconds in.
Adam Keyes assisted on the goal.
- That goal awoke the Spartans who got two more goals from Keyes to tie the game 3-3 with 3:45 left in the second.
- With 14 seconds to go in the second,
Derrick Budz scored to tie the game up 4-4.
Brendan Blair and Sampson assisted.
- The wild second period ended with the score tied 4-4.
- After falling behind early in the third, AU fought back to tie the game.
- Sampson scored his second of the game midway through the third.
- The game headed into overtime but for the second time this season, the 3-on-3 did not go well for AU who fell 6-5.
