The Aurora University baseball team swept their doubleheader against Cornell College, 8-3, 9-3 on Saturday afternoon.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS -
- AU would jump out in front early in the 1st when Dylan White would double then later score on a Justin Sartori single.
- Both teams would go scoreless until the 4th when Corey Vondra would double to score Paul Dobravec from first. 2-0 AU.
- Nick Malmberg would go out the following inning to retire the Cornell hitters 1-2-3.
- In the 5th Jake Ambuel hit a rocket line drive over the left field fence to make it 3-0 AU.
- In the 6th Vondra would triple to start the inning and then later score on a Collin Meinert double. 
- In the 8th Dobravec and Vondra would be hit by pitches to start the inning.
- Meinert would hit his second double of the game to score Blake Milburn (pinch runner).
- Josh Reinhardt would then single up the middle to score Vondra and Meinert.
- Reinhardt would score the final Spartan run of the game in the 8th on a wild pitch.
- In the top of the 9th Cornell would see three runners come across home, but could not catch the Spartans. 8-3.

- Similar to game one AU would jump out 1-0 when Sartori doubled in White after he had walked.
- Cornell was able to answer this time as they would bring across two to take their first lead of the day.
- The Spartans would tie it back up when Josh Reinhardt tripled and later scored on a throwing error.
- Both teams were quiet until the 5th when Cornell would bring home their 3rd run of the game. 3-2 Cornell.
- AU would bring across two runs in the 6th when Dobravec and Jett Wedekind would reach on error, later brought in on a Vondra single.
- AU would add another two as Dobravec would hit a triple scoring White, Dobravec would score on a throwing error on the triple.
- In the 8th AU would score three on a Justin Sartori sac fly, passed ball, and a Wedekind double down the line. 9-3 Spartans.
